2012 Clovis GMC Sierra:
The Sierra is available in three cab styles: standard cab, extended cab, and
crew cab. There are four engines, two transmissions, and the choice of rear- or
four-wheel drive. Six trim levels are available: Work Truck, SL, SLE, XFE, SLT,
and Denali. Changes for 2012
ClovisGMC
Sierra include a chrome three-bar
grille design on SLW and SLT trims, electronic trailer sway control and hill
start assist included on the StabiliTrak stability control system, available
hard-drive navigation system on Denali and SLT models, a new Quicksilver
Metallic color choice, 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, and standard cruise
control on Work Truck models. The Work Truck with the trailer package now
includes Z85 handling/trailering suspension, which is also now standard on SL
Crew Cab models. Denali gets standard heated and cooled front seats,
leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, and rearview camera system, while SLT
gets heated and cooled seats as an option. Sierra engine choices depend on
model and ranging from a 4.3-liter V-6 to a 6.2-liter V-8 and are mated to
four- or six-speed automatic transmissions.
2012 Clovis GMC Yukon:
Several changes are in store for the full-size SUV in 2012, including navigation
radio with AM/FM/XM stereo and CD player, USB port, hard drive, Time Shift
Recording capability and available SiriusXM Weather Service; heated steering
wheel now offered on SLT models (except Yukon XL 2500). Third-row DVD screen
now included on Yukon XL with available rear-seat entertainment, heated and
leather-trimmed front seats are now standard on the 2012
Clovis GMC Yukon SLT models, recovery hooks now standard on
all models, StabiliTrak stability control system now includes electronic
trailer sway control and hill start assist, side blind zone alert is now
standard on Denali models, SLE Exterior Appearance Package is standard on 1500
models and available on 2500, and two new exterior colors are offered: Crystal
Red Tintcoat and Quicksilver Metallic. A 5.3-liter V-8 engine with Active Fuel
Management powers Yukon and Yukon XL models, while a 6.2-liter V-8 sits under
the Denali’s hood, and a 6.0-liter V-8 is paired with the Yukon XL 2500. All of
the engines are E85 capable and all but the 6.0-liter include Active Fuel
Management. Denali models include exclusive 20-inch wheels, power liftgate,
power release second-row fold-and-tumble bucket seats, head curtain side air
bags, power-adjustable pedals, auto-dimming rearview mirror, remote start
system, rearview camera system, and ultrasonic rear parking assist.
2012 Clovis GMC Acadia:
For 2012 the Acadia lineup includes SL, SLE, SLT and Denali models, and all are
available in front- or all-wheel drive with seven- or eight-passenger seating. A
3.6-liter, V-6 direct-injection engine producing 288 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft.
of torque and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission powers all Acadia
models. The 2012
Clovis GMC Acadia’s all-wheel drive system improves
traction on slippery roads by actively managing the torque distribution between
the front and rear axles, taking into account wheel speed, throttle and surface
conditions. Other features include, tri-zone
automatic climate control is standard on Denali and SLT trims and
available on SLE (with rear entertainment system), AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 playback capability is standard on SL and
SLE models, AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3
playback capability and Bose 10-speaker sound system is standard on SLT
and Denali models, navigation radio
system with XM NavTraffic, rearview camera system, USB port and Bose 10-speaker
sound is available on Denali and SLT, and a rear-seat entertainment system with USB port is available on
Denali, SLT and SLE models and includes rear-seat DVD player with remote
control, overhead display and two sets of wireless headphones.
2012 Clovis GMC Terrain:
GMC’s midsize crossover SUV adds several new features for 2012, most of them
entertainment and safety technology. The 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine
with federal emissions is E85 capable, and 18-inch chrome-clad alloy wheels are
available on SLE2 and SLT1 trim levels and come standard on SLT2. The addition
of a standard seven-inch, color touch screen audio system opens the way for the
standard rearview camera to use the larger display instead of a smaller on
inside the rearview mirror. GMC is now offering its IntelliLink system on the 2012
Clovis GMC Terrain, which provides smart phone integration
with the audio system through Bluetooth and USB. Voice and steering
wheel-mounted controls allow for safer operation of the system. Audio can be
streamed from the phone from services such as Pandora internet radio and
Stitcher SmartRadio. Navigation is also available and makes use of the audio
system display. A 3.0-liter V-6 is available, and front- or all-wheel drive is
offered on SLE and SLT trim levels. All models feature antilock brakes,
StabiliTrak electronic stability and traction control.
2012 Clovis GMC Sierra HD:
There’s no shortage of Sierra HD variations, with 10 Sierra 2500HD models,
eight 3500HD models and six Sierra Denali HD models. Among them are regular,
extended and crew cab body styles offered in 2WD and 4WD, as well as single-
and dual-rear-wheel configurations – all available with either a standard gasoline
V-8 or the powerful Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel. At its maximum, the 2012
Clovis GMC Sierra HD can tow 23,000 pounds or up to 18,000
pounds using a conventional hitch, while payload capacity checks in at 7,215
pounds. The Duramax turbo-diesel produces 397 horsepower and 765 lb.-ft. of
torque, which with the 36-gallon fuel tank provides a range of 680 miles. Four
trim levels are on offer: Work Truck, SLE, SLT and Denali. Available technology
features include mobile WiFi, USB connection, Bluetooth mobile phone
connectivity, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, OnStar 9.0 and navigation system.
Sierra Denali HD models include heated and cooled front seats, leather-wrapped
heated steering wheel and the rear vision camera.

2012 Clovis Buick Enclave:
Buick’s successful full-size crossover is little changed for 2012, but adds a
few important features while dropping the CX and CXL trim level names. Taking
the place of the trim designations are Enclave Base, Convenience, Leather and
Premium packages. Hill-hold assist braking is standard and holds the brakes for
1.5 seconds after the driver removes his or her foot from the brake pedal on
five percent or steeper inclines. Electronic pedal override cuts engine power
when the brake and accelerator are pressed at the same time, thus avoiding
unintended acceleration. As before, the Enclave is offered in front- and
all-wheel drive. A 3.6-liter, direct-injected, V-6 engine powers all 2012
Clovis
Buick Enclave models, and produces
288 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed, electronically
controlled automatic transmission delivers power to the wheels. Enclave
features seating for six or seven depending on which second row is selected.
Bose premium audio system is standard with the Premium package and available on
all others, while leather seating, heated front seats and upgraded seat
adjustments for driver and front passenger are standard on the Leather and
Premium option groups.
2012 Clovis Buick Regal:
After a seven-year absence, Buick reintroduced the Regal in 2011 as a sporty
midsize sedan that's based on Europe's Opel Insignia. The Regal, which seats up
to five, offers a great ride, nimble handling, plenty of power, and is poised
to compete with upscale sports sedans like the Volkswagen Passat, Acura TSX,
and Audi A4. New for 2012 are a black chrome waterfall grille and new portholes
on the hood. The Regal's 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is now capable of
running on E85 ethanol. Powering the 2012
Clovis
Buick Regal is a choice of four
engines, depending on model/package. The base Regal is equipped with a 2.4-liter
4-cylinder engine producing 182 horsepower and 172 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a
six-speed automatic transmission. The Turbo and GS have a 2.0-liter turbo
four-cylinder that makes 270 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The Turbo
has a standard six-speed automatic and an optional six-speed manual, while the
GS is only available with the six-speed manual. The light-hybrid Regal eAssist
combines a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic
transmission with a 15 horsepower electric motor to provide additional
acceleration.
2012 Clovis Buick LaCrosse: For 2012, the full-size luxury sedan adds a
2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine with eAssist light hybrid technology. The
system enables the LaCrosse return EPA-estimated fuel economy of 25 mpg city
and 36 mpg highway, while still offering the driving experience of a V-6
engine. Speaking of the V-6, revisions increase horsepower to 303 and add E85
capability. The 2012Clovis
Buick LaCrosse is available with
seven product equipment groups: LaCrosse Base, Convenience, Leather, Premium, Premium
II, Premium III and Touring. They replace the previous CX, CXL and CXS trim
lines and exterior badging. Buick IntelliLink adds Bluetooth and USB
connectivity from a smart phone to a new seven- or eight-inch, high-resolution,
full-color touchscreen display radio.
IntelliLink expands Bluetooth and USB capabilities to enable smart phone
control via voice activation and steering wheel-mounted controls. Streaming
audio from the phone with services such as Pandora Internet radio and Stitcher
SmartRadio.
2012 Clovis Buick Verano:
The Verano is Buick’s first entry into the compact luxury segment, entering an
arena that includes the Lexus IS 250 and Infiniti G25. A 2.4-liter,
direct-injection four-cylinder engine developing 180 horsepower and mated to a
six-speed automatic powers the 2012
Clovis
Buick Verano. The 2.4 is E85
capable. A 2.0-liter turbocharged engine will be offered later. Verano is
equipped with Buick’s new IntelliLink system and its enhanced Bluetooth and USB
phone and audio streaming connectivity and voice control features. Buick
applies several sound damping technologies, including liquid, foam and
fiberglass blankets. Front suspension uses decoupled MacPherson struts, while
the rear features a Watts Z-link design. Safety features include 10 airbags, including
front, side-impact, side-curtain and front occupant knee airbags, antilock
brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, seat belt pre-tensioners and
load limiters in front, StabiliTrak electronic stability control and
collapsible pedal system.
