The Chevrolet Equinox is one of the top models in the Chevy lineup. Chevrolet sells more of this SUV than it does any of its other models other than the Silverado. Priced at around $33,000, the Equinox is affordable for drivers, even if they decide to go with one of the higher trims. While Chevrolet offered the Equinox for many years, looking at how the current model stacks up to last year's edition is a good way to see why the newer one is worth the price. Let Hamilton GM Country walk you through some of the biggest changes to the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox.
New to the Equinox in 2024
The 2024 Equinox does not feature any major changes near Clovis, NM. One small difference is that Chevy updates the Driver Confidence II package. This optional package now includes rear cross-traffic alerts and a blind spot monitor. It also uses the rear parking sensors available last year, helping you avoid obstacles around Roswell, NM, when you back up. Other features in the package include side blind zone alerts and lane change alerts. The Confidence & Convenience Package also now comes standard on the LT trim.
Another change is that Chevrolet adds two paint colors to the lineup. Lakeshore Blue and Riptide Blue help you make an impression around Fort Sumner. Two colors are also gone from the lineup: Blue Grow Metallic and Iron Gray Metallic.
Plenty of Returning Features
The interior remains spacious, with enough room for adults and anything you need to store in the cargo area. The 2023 and 2024 models include a turbocharged 1.5-liter with 175 horsepower and 203 pounds of torque. Available for 2024 is the RS trim, which is faster to respond and has some darker accents on the outside, along with bigger wheels.
